    Dual LS7366R Quadrature Encoder Buffer

There documentation for reading the encoderand getting acount. But how do you. Enable and disable the index pin so when enabled it zeros the counters?

Also my index is triggered when a switch goes from low to high – I want to be able to have the index reset the counters when the index pin goes from high to low or low to high depending on how I configure it. I also need to turn it off to prevent stray signals from resetting the counter.
    What commands will do this?
Is there a complete and understandable list of commands for the board?

    Thanks,
    Joel

    Hi,

The product page for the Encoder Buffer Board has a link to the LS736RR’s data sheet: http://cdn.usdigital.com/assets/general/LS7366R.pdf

Thanks for the reply but the data sheet doesn’t have any examples. Actaully I sorted it out by myself. instead of initalizing the readers by sending a 0x88 then an 0x03 send a 0x88 than a 0x23. THis configures the chips to set the counter to zero as long as index pin is LOW.
